What's covered, in plain English.
Every Parvatpath trek includes a group emergency evacuation cover. For trip-cancellation, gear damage, or personal medical treatment beyond first aid, we strongly recommend a personal trek insurance policy.
Included: Emergency evacuation
Group cover up to ₹1,00,000 per trekker for helicopter or ambulance evacuation from the trek route to the nearest road-accessible medical facility. Coordinated by our operations desk in Dehradun.
Included: On-trek first aid
Every batch carries a certified medic, oxygen cylinder, and a stocked medical kit. Diamox, ORS, and altitude medication are dispensed at basecamp on advice from our medic.
Recommended: Personal cover
Personal trek insurance — ~₹800–1,500 per trip via Bajaj Allianz, ICICI Lombard, or Assurekit — covers hospitalisation, gear loss, and trip cancellation.
Not covered
Losses caused by ignoring the guide's instructions, off-route wandering, alcohol/substance use on trek, or pre-existing medical conditions not declared at booking.
How to buy personal cover
- 1. Pick a trek insurer that covers activities up to 6,000 m (Bajaj Allianz "Travel Elite", ICICI Lombard "Trekking").
- 2. Select single-trip cover for your exact trek dates.
- 3. Upload the policy PDF at the traveler-details step of booking, or email it to us before departure.
