Why Kedarkantha is the perfect first Himalayan trek
Kedarkantha (3,800 m) is the trek we recommend most to first-time Himalayan trekkers — and for good reason.
A summit that's actually reachable
The climb is gradual, the daily distances are short, and the summit push rewards you with a 360° view of ranges like Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch and Black Peak. You get the *feeling* of a big mountain without needing prior mountaineering experience.
Snow, but safe
From December to April the trail turns into a classic winter wonderland. Our batches carry microspikes, and every group has a certified leader plus a fixed guide-to-trekker ratio.
Forest campsites
Nights at Juda-ka-Talab and Kedarkantha Base are spent among oak and pine forests, around a warm meal and an even warmer campfire.
Plan your trek
Winter batches fill fast. Check current dates and seats on the [treks page](/treks) and lock in early.
